Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing, checking and reviewing technical deliverables necessary for tendering works and project execution according to schedule and budget.
Typically assigned as lead engineer or checker or major equipment responsibility in the tendering or execution projects.
Work with others to produce high-quality, accurate and complete engineering documents (drawings and specifications)
Review mechanical requirements specified in client’s RFQ and raise clarifications/deviations.
Prepare, check and review mechanical specifications for inquiry and purchase
Check and review vendor documents/drawings and ensure equipment in compliance with contract requirements, the la**** standards and codes
Provide technical clarification and evaluation of vendor’s technical proposals and responsible for negotiating with vendors and finally signing of technical agreement for equipment
Provide technical advice and coordination during fabrication, construction and commissioning.
Technical support for site erection and cold commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Technical support for the manufacture, acceptance **** and verification of the fabrication of mechanical equipment.
Prepare, check and review installation drawings and O&M manual of mechanical equipment.
Analyse the technical proposal, contract, specifications and applicable Lessons Learned relative to discipline in the project and ensures conformance to contract for discipline engineering and material
Ensure all outputs are documented and archived according to applicable ISO Procedures and/or Work Instructions.
Demonstrate initiative, teamwork and commitment
Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers.
Defining and writing technical work instructions and design criteria
Other tasks nominated by Manager, Mechanical Engineering
Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science or relevant majors
Minimum eight(8) years of BS, or six(6) years of MS, or four(4) years of PhD
Major: Mechanical Engineering, Rotation Equipment, Thermal Engineering.
Experience in power plant, AQCS, or design institute preferred
Prior experience with Mechanical Engineering Management skill preferred.
Knowledge of discipline deliverables and workflow.
Knowledge of company products and services and their place in the market.
Good computer skills, CAD spread sheets, organizational and communication skills.
To perform routine calculations, analyses and trouble-shooting independently.
To work closely in a team environment. Demonstrates initiative, professionalism and a commitment to quality.
Knowledge of management principles and practices.
Good communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in English
